Promoting internationalisation

The Centre for International Mobility CIMO is a governmental agency operating under the Ministry of Education and Culture. CIMO promotes internationalisation in the fields of education, youth, and culture. CIMO

• administers scholarship and exchange programmes
• is responsible for implementing nearly all EU education, training, culture and youth programmes at national level.
• promotes and organises international trainee exchanges.

In addition, CIMO advances the teaching of Finnish language and culture in universities abroad and arranges summer courses in Finnish language and culture for international students.

CIMO does not, however, arrange any kind of education courses in English. CIMO is not an admissions office either, nor does it provide scholarships for Bachelor's or Master's level studies.

The Study in Finland web service at www.studyinfinland.fi is produced and maintained by the Centre for International Mobility CIMO. The renewed service was launched in June 2010.

The site is targeted at international students and education professionals interested in the opportunities Finland offers in higher education.
