Excellent facilities for work and fun

The high standard of different facilities provided by Finland and especially higher education institutions is frequently commended by international students.

In Finland all students have the right to use the institutions’ libraries freely with a library card. As well as well stocked libraries , all higher education institutions provide their students free access to the internet.

Also municipal library services are open to all, and the basic services are normally free of charge.

Well-equipped laboratories, and eLearning platforms play also an important role in education. The buildings are modern and functional, and during cold winter days they are also very well heated.

All students make a personal study plan to help them schedule their time and also act as a guide through their studies. Student counselling is provided by all institutions, and teachers are also committed to support their students throughout their studies.

Students unions and student associations arrange tutoring and informal leisure activities at each institution. Excellent opportunities for sports and cultural activities from swamp football to modern opera are available almost everywhere.
