Master's Programmes

There are over 200 Master’s degree programmes available in English. The majority of them are provided by universities, but polytechnics also arrange Master-level degree education in English.

At universities accomplishing a Master’s degree is worth 120 ECTS credits amd takes 2 years of full-time studying.

The degree consists of a major subject, minor subjects, general studies, language and communication studies, and a Master’s thesis. You need to have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the same or related field of education, and you will also need to prove your English language ability.

Polytechnic Master´s degrees are professionally oriented, they take 1-1.5 years to accomplish, and are worth 60 – 90 ECTS credits. To be eligible to apply for these programmes, you need to hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, followed by at least 3 years of work experience.
