Finnish universities hold high positions in QS rankings 2021

Several Finnish universities are once again ranked among the best in the 'QS World University Rankings by Subject' 2021, which covers over 1400 universities from all over the world. Three Finnish universities also feature in the 'QS Top 50 Under 50' 2021 ranking of world’s top young universities.

In the annual QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021, six Finnish universities made it to top 50:

Of these, the highest subject-specific positions go this year to Aalto University in Arts & Design (#6), Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki in Performing Arts (#9), Tampere University in Library & Information Management (#21) and the University of Helsinki in Education and Training (#22) – all of these rising on the ranking chart in comparison to year 2020.

Three Finnish universities also featured in the QS Top 50 Under 50 2021 ranking for young top universities in the world: Aalto University, Tampere University and University of Eastern Finland.

There are currently 13 research universities in Finland.
