Several Finnish universities gain good positions in THE World University Rankings by Subject

Based on the THE World University Rankings 2024, these subject-specific results look more closely into the individual universities strengths in 11 disciplines. Altogether over 1900 universities from 108 countries and regions were included in the ranking.

In the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject published in October 2023, two Finnish universities made it to top 100 in overall scores across 11 different disciplines: the University of Helsinki was ranked high in Arts and humanities, Education, Law, Life sciences and Social sciences - whereas Aalto University's strengths lay in Business and economics and Computer science.

Several other Finnish universities joined in for the top 200 positions in individual subjects – LUT University, University of Oulu, University of Jyväskylä, Tampere University, University of Eastern Finland, and University of Turku.
