Universities

Finland has 13 universities and 22 universities of applied sciences (UAS).
English-taught degree programmes are offered on bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels.

Universities of applied sciences offer professionally oriented higher education on bachelor's and master's level, and have strong ties with working life and regional development.

Universities focus on scientific research and the education they provide is based on it. Universities offer bachelor's, master's and doctoral (PhD) level programmes.

University of the Arts Helsinki

The University of the Arts Helsinki (Uniarts Helsinki) provides the highest level of education in music, fine arts, theatre and dance in Finland. Uniarts Helsinki is an international forerunner in education and research in the field of arts. Uniarts Helsinki consists of the Academy of Fine Arts, the Sibelius Academy and the Theatre Academy.
