Joint application for studies starting in January 2026
The joint application to Finnish higher education for January 2026 study start is open between 1st and 11th September 2025 at Studyinfo.fi.
A limited number of programmes in English is offered on this autumn joint application round.
You can apply to up to six different degree programmes from different fields and higher education institutes included in the joint application. On this joint application round, the programmes must be selected in an order of preference. You can only be offered admission to one application option. If you are accepted to multiple programmes, you will only be offered admission to the one that is highest on your application preference list, and to which you have enough points to be accepted.
In the autumn joint application 2025, the results can be published at different times, but no later than by 20 November 2025.

Scholarships offered by the universities
Many universities and UAS's (universities of applied sciences) in Finland have scholarship options on offer for gifted non-EU students. You usually apply for the scholarship from the university or UAS at the same time when you apply for admission, so check with the university/UAS about the scholarship details - also read our advice on funding your studies.

The joint application period to the English-taught Bachelor's and Master studies starting in August/September 2026 will be arranged 7 – 21 January 2026 at Studyinfo.fi.
Separate applications
Some degree programmes have their admissions outside the joint application system. For example, separate applications to English-taught degree courses starting in September 2026 can be available already from late 2025 onwards. Always check the exact application period with the university you plan to apply to!
