How to Apply for a scholarship?
Many universities have their own scholarship options and application processes. If the university offers scholarships, remember that they are competitive and will typically only cover your tuition fees partially,. You must independently cover your own living costs.
With some universities, you can apply for a scholarship at the same time as you submit your admission application — making it easy to plan your studies and funding together.
In other cases, scholarships become available after you’ve started your studies. These may reward your progress, academic success, or even your growing Finnish language skills.
Note that in Finland, there are no governmental scholarships available.
Find Your Programme
Start by picking the degree programme that interests you the most. You can either find a suitable programme on the universities' own websites or on Studyinfo.fi.
Explore Scholarships
Once you have found a suitable study programme, you can check if the programme offers a scholarship for non-EU/EEA students. You can typically find instructions for applying for a scholarship alongside the application information.
If you have questions or need a bit more guidance, check out the scholarship information on the universities' own websites.
Be cautious - those claims are misleading. Posts and ads like that contain a lot of false information.
