So, what does a SiF ambassador do exactly?

As a SiF (short for "Study in Finland") ambassador, you will be sharing your experiences of studying and living in Finland on our social media platforms.

✨ You will be showing our followers what student life in Finland is like, and charm potential students to pick Finland as their study destination. You will be a significant touchpoint for prospective students and provide an opportunity for them to find out what student life in Finland is really like.

✨ Your primary task would to be create and share relevant content about your experiences, and also answering queries of prospective students online.

✨ As an ambassador, along with the other members of the SiF ambassador team, you will be acting as a hybrid between a contributor and an influencer, representing Study in Finland wherever you are. Your role is vital in providing the right message and information to the next generation of students on studying in Finland.

Tasks & Duties

So, what kinds of things will you be doing as a SiF ambassador?

👉 Instagram - Launch your storytelling and visual skills via daily posting of photos, reels, and stories on engaging content regarding student life in Finland on our SiF Ambassadors Instagram account.

👉 YouTube - Captivate the viewers with your cinematic abilities by producing trendy and inspiring videos (mainly YouTube shorts) for our YouTube channel. 

Common responsibilities include:

• As a SiF ambassador, you are expected to devote 20 hours a month on your ambassador tasks.
• You'll be keeping contact with your fellow SiF ambassadors - planning, scheduling (and occasionally also creating) content together.
• As part of your Instagram duties, you'd also be replying to DMs from prospective students.
• You will be joining weekly online meetings and occasional face-to-face meet-ups.
• You will also occasionally participate in webinars with us.

What would make you the ideal SiF Ambassador? 

Apart from being cool, creative, and enthusiastic, we are also looking for our ambassadors to fulfill the following requirements:  

• You must be a full-time international degree student pursuing a bachelor’s or a master’s degree at a Finnish higher education institute and you must be a student studying on location in Finland. We are primarily looking for students who are not on their last year of studies!
• You are a storyteller, remarkable communicator who can network and talk with people from diverse backgrounds via text, photography, and videos.
• You are confident and at ease in front of the camera and are open to contributing to Instagram and YouTube - also webinars occasionally.
• You are comfortable with communicating and conducting your work in English. We do not require native-level English skills but we do expect fluency.
• You can devote a minimum of 20 hours per month  on being a SiF ambassador.
• Prior or current experience of working as a student ambassador at your university is an asset, but is neither mandatory nor a selection criteria for this position.
