Call for inviting researchers from Ukraine to Finland

The Academy of Finland has opened a call for applications to invite researchers from Ukraine to carry out research in Finland. The aim of the call is to support researchers who are prevented from working in Ukraine because of the Russian attack and who need physical protection to be able to carry out their research.

The application is submitted by a researcher based in Finland, and the funding covers the invitee’s travel and living expenses in Finland. Funding for the actual research work must be obtained from other sources. The funding period is up to two years.

MSCA4Ukraine scheme for fellowships

The Call for Applications for the MSCA4Ukraine fellowships to host displaced researchers from Ukraine is funded by the European Commission under Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). The online portal for applications is now closed until further notice due to large response. In the unlikely case that there is still funding available after the first two rounds of evaluation, the portal will reopen for new applications in early 2023.
